A few months ago, I got a text from my mom when she was out shopping. I opened the text to a picture of a leopard dress and her asking if I liked it because it was on sale for $30 and in my size. I thought it was a pretty dress but leopard? For the office? Me?! I dress pretty conservatively for work and while I’m no stranger to adding bright colors and fun patterns into my office style, leopard print is a whole different story.

The dress hung in my closet for a few weeks. I just couldn’t figure out how to style leopard for work. So I turned to my favorite basic work staples to make this leopard dress appropriate for 9-5. A white non-iron button down, a delicate gold necklace and gray ballet flats balance out the wilder print.

If you’re still hesitant to take a walk on the wild side, you can layer a black sweater to turn the leopard dress into a skirt and tone down the look. I’m wearing the same black sweater in last week’s post on how to style winter white for work so you better pick up this sweater while you can! It runs big so you should size down. I’m wearing a medium but really should have purchased a small. And the best news: My leopard dress is currently on sale and available in all sizes! It runs true to size and is fitted at the waist.

Once I started thinking of ways to style this leopard dress for work, I couldn’t stop. Pairing it with a black blazer and a tan belt or bringing out blush accessories to offset the print. It’s a new jungle out there.
