Sharing a classic and comfy Thanksgiving outfit for inspiration to look stylish – whether you’re on kitchen duty or have a reserved spot to watch the parade.

Personally, my favorite Thanksgiving tradition is watching the American Kennel Club Dog Show — my family and I never miss it! Even when we’re typically multi-tasking in the kitchen with pies, side dishes, and, of course, the turkey. My mom and I were once quite fashionably late to bringing the turkey over to Thanksgiving at my grandma’s house because we became too emotionally invested in the cute pups!

I like to keep it more casual for Thanksgiving when it comes to my outfit since I’m using pulling double-duty between the cooking, prep, and those show dogs. Plus it’s a much quicker crash on to the couch when you’re already in your comfies! I’m pro-stretchy pants — all the better for an extra slice of pie — but that doesn’t mean you can’t look stylish at the same time.

Here are the pieces I pulled from my closet to put this look together!

Classic and Comfy Thanksgiving Outfit Details

Rollneck Sweater: This $98 rollneck sweater runs TTS, I’m wearing a size medium. I would suggest sizing up if you’d like a looser, more relaxed fit. It comes in a variety of colorways, including stripe, and right now is 30% off with code SHOPEARLY.

Spanx Leggings: My Spanx leggings have lasted me for years! While my exact pair are limited in stock right now, their faux leather leggings are available and would be another great option.

Tartan Plaid Cape: I picked my tartan plaid cape up years ago from a Tuckernuck sample sale and I’ve gotten so much use out of it during the summer to fall transition and cooler months. My exact cape isn’t currently available but I love this very similar plaid serape for $100.

Mini Gold Hoops: Mini gold hoops are a year-round staple for my jewelry, they’re subtle but make me feel more polished whenever I wear them.

Rothy’s Drivers: I could probably do a whole blog post about Rothy’s The Driver! Like my other Rothy’s, they’re incredibly comfortable and machine-washable — absolutely perfect and necessary for a long day on your feet while you’re cooking up a feast.
