Oh wow, did the weekend go by in a blur for you too? I stayed in on Friday and slept for about 10 hours (Gettin’ wild, I know) and it was a-mazing. No regrets whatsoever about not going out, sometimes you just need a night lounging in your pjs with Netflix and some fish tacos from District Taco. March is going to be serious March Madness for me: I leave early Friday morning for one of my best friend’s wedding (👋 Kendall!) and when I say early, I mean Super Shuttle is picking me up at 3:30AM. Lord, give me caffeine and give it to me NOW! Actually might need to go a little stronger and go with a Bloody Mary. Yup, that’ll be happening on Friday. I fly back to DC late Sunday night and hit the ground running at work. And then a week later, I’m gonna be boarding a flight for Phoenix to spend Easter with my family. And then suddenly it’s April.
Yikes. Seriously, how’d that happen?!
I spent my wild ‘n crazy Friday night planning out blog content and I felt like the next thing I knew, all of March had been filled in and April 1st was staring right back at me. But it was no April Fool’s joke.
You know what helps with this fire drill feeling? Besides rosé…
The feeling that SPRING is finally here!! DC spring can be, well, incredibly rainy. I learned the hard way to always carry an umbrella during the spring/summer because out of nowhere, the heavens open up. The likelihood of this happening increases about 100% if you’re wearing a white tshirt that day.But I’ll take a rain shower over a snow shower any day of the week and I actually really love thunderstorms (as long as I’m not caught walking in them!).
Spring to me means tulips blooming, long walks around Eastern Market and bringing my favorite L.L. Bean striped cotton dress back into rotation. And layering my navy gingham shirt underneath because navy on navy has me singing in the rain ☔️

WOW you look gorgeous wearing your striped Dress and pink Wellingtons like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day, I always wear my Wellingtons when it rains I hate getting my Stockings splashed.
