Easy + Cute Travel Outfit

Easy Travel Outfit - DC Girl in Pearls

J.Crew Factory Popover Tunic (My exact popover is from J.Crew Factory last spring/summer, it was a really popular item and I hope they’ll bring back a variation later in the season. Right now, J.Crew Factory has a short sleeve version of this top – and a short sleeve chambray. And if you’re really into popovers like me, both of the shirt and pastry varieties, The Shirt by Rochelle Behrens has a beautiful blue floral popover that’s marked down to $49 right now) // Talbots White Jeans (My all-time favorite white jeans, they’ve lasted me for YEARS and are machine-washable, I’ve gotten many rosé spots out of these throughout the years. Plus they’re under $95! They run TTS, mine are a size 8 petite) // Sperry Crest Sneakers (The fun curly laces are purely for show and I love that these sneakers slide on and off – perfect for TSA) // Vera Bradley Tote (I’ve loved my Vera Bradley totes since high school. The pockets inside make them the best for traveling – I have designated pockets for my tech, gum, wallet, etc. My tote here has a toggle closure but most have magnetic closures that keep everything inside safe + secure)

Happy April/spring!!

I hope if you’re in DC you got outside on Saturday and took advantage of how absolutely gorgeous it was out. Being outside without a jacket felt nothing short of amazing.

With warm weather approaching, people are going to be making vacation plans + scheduling trips so I thought I’d share my favorite easy + cute travel outfit.

I’ll be traveling to Arizona in just a few short weeks to see my family for Easter + plan to wear this outfit onto the plane because it’s just so comfy (#outfitrepeater)!

When I travel, I always pack a pashmina with me in case the plane gets chilly. There’s nothing worse than being cold, on a 5 hour flight and knowing there’s nothing you can do about that.

Popover Tunic

I just really love J.Crew Factory. But if you’ve been coming to my blog for awhile now, you already know this 🙃

Last year, I picked up this popover tunic to wear with white jeans for late spring. Didn’t realize how much I’d end up wearing this piece! Right now it’s not available but given how popular it was last year, I’m hoping Factory is going to bring it back later this spring season. In the mean time, Factory has a short-sleeve version of this popover that also comes in regular chambray.

White Jeans

These Talbots white jeans might be my all-time favorite pair of jeans, ever. I know that sounds really dramatic but it’s true. I’ve had these jeans for years and they are just as bright + white as they looked when I purchased them, no fading or discoloring here. These jeans wash so well in the machine, because you know I’ve gotten rosé drops spilled on them or other stains because that’s life.

They are under $100 and I cannot recommend them enough. If you’ve seen me wearing white jeans on the blog in the last 3 years, these are the same pair!

Vera Bradley Tote

Vera Bradley totes were a must-have in my high school – were they popular in yours? I remember being so excited to get my first Vera Bradley purse when I was a junior, I still have it!

I love my Vera Bradley tote for travel because the insides are lined with pockets that are perfect for separating and designating for your travel items. I’ve got a pocket for my chargers, phones, wallet, gum, everything I need for the next 5 hours of my life. The pockets make it so easy to not lose items in the deep dark bottom of your bag.

My tote here has a toggle closure but most of the totes (like this one) have a magnetic closure that will keep your items safe and secure so you don’t have to worry about turbulence sending your items rolling around.

Sperry Sneakers

Each time I have to take off my sneakers in line at TSA, I always think to myself, “Why haven’t you signed up for Pre-Check, yet?!” It’s one of those things that slips my mind until I have to travel.

My Sperry sneakers have these fun + cute curly laces that are purely for decoration, you just slip in and out of these sneakers! Easy on, easy off to keep the line moving.

Full disclosure: I always feel like the worst person to be behind at TSA. Between my laptop and camera, I take up about 5 bins and feel like I’m holding people up in the line. I promise I’m moving as fast as I can!

Are you going anywhere fun this spring or summer?
