{Upcycle}

Sunday was just a lazy day in every sense. I woke up and stayed in bed for 2 hours reading blogs and writing posts. It was glorious. Eventually I decided I needed to get up and be productive, starting with my kitchen.

While sorting my recycleables, I really noticed my favorite Trader Joe’s tomato sauce jar (for the record, it’s their vodka sauce). I’ve bought this sauce many times before but the word “Mason” caught my eye.

With glee, I soaked the jar in hot water to help peel off the label and then gave it a good scrubbing. Voila, my dish scrubber has a happy new home!

Mason jars can cost upwards of $5. Trader Joe’s vodka sauce costs $2.99 and you get delicious sauce and a mason jar to upcycle! I’d say that’s a no-brainer, wouldn’t you?

What upcycling projects have you done?
