Happy Monday! I’m normally someone who leaves packing to the last possible minute and end up way way way overpacking. But I am so excited to get out of town and head to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding!! How excited? I started packing yesterday…and I don’t leave until Thursday. My flight to the Big Easy departs at 6AM (Gonna need all the chai) so it’s probably for the best I’m getting a jump on packing.
The wedding is on Saturday so I have some time to explore the city. I’ve been to New Orleans once before in college for Mardi Gras but stuck to the Bourbon Street-scene with the Hurricanes and Hand Grenades. I’ll pay Pat O’s a visit this time around but I’m adding a few other spots to my New Orleans itinerary. Besides my friend’s Big Day (!!!), I am seriously pumped to go on a ghost tour. I have always loved haunted history and have a fascination with ghost stories. Sadly none of my friends wanted to go with me on the last trip. But not this trip. This trip I’ll be going on a ghost tour and I am so excited! I’ll be sleeping with the lights on that night though.
Anyway, here’s my New Orleans packing list. With temperatures in the high 80s and 90s, expect lots of linens + cottons in my NOLA outfit posts! I’m only taking a carry-on, my Vera Bradley duffel bag is hands-down the only carry-on you need. It’s insane how much you can fit into it, I’ve traveled exclusively with this duffel for years and I swear by it.
