Machine-Washable Lilac Blazer

Machine-Washable Lilac Blazer - DC Girl in Pearls

Banana Republic Factory Machine-Washable Lilac Blazer (This blazer runs a teensy bit big, I wear my usual size 8 though. I like that it’s a tad on the looser side, especially in summer) // Banana Republic Factory Lilac Sheath Dress (Sadly, this exact dress is sold out. But I found another Banana Republic sheath dress in the exact same hue – I can’t get enough of this lilac color!) // Steve Madden Carrson Sandals // J.Crew Cabana Oversized Sunglasses // Lilac Gem Stud Earrings (Similar – this pair is from Amazon Prime for $15)

It’s been a long time since I’ve shared a work wear look with you guys! I really love putting these posts together. Whenever I think about post topics, I think about what I enjoy reading, would want to see on a blog, and what I’m loving in real life. For me, I love seeing work wear outfit inspiration that I could actually wear to work.

And right now, this machine-washable lilac blazer is my new best friend for DC summer. I walk to work every day so my favorite game I play every day is, “What can I wear to work that won’t turn me into a puddle as soon as I set foot outside?” It’s great.

I picked up this blazer when was in Arizona earlier this year because I loved the gorgeous lilac color. And when I found a sheath dress in a matching hue, it was a done deal. A monochromatic look for work just makes me feel more sophisticated and polished.

Plus this machine-washable lilac blazer is lightweight and runs a teensy bit on the bigger side (I still went with my usual size 8) so it’s very breathable.

I also love wearing this blazer with my favorite black sheath dress and captoe slingbacks for an easy workwear look.

Is it really machine-washable?

Yes!! I was skeptical and kinda worried the first time I tossed it into the washing machine. I washed it on the cold setting and let it hang to air dry. Then I used my handheld clothes steamer to get rid of a few wrinkles but it wasn’t bad, I’m just a bit overzealous with my steamer!
