Floral Blouse for Work + Weekend

In case you couldn’t tell, I am in full-on denial about the weather situation.

Moved to DC, they said. It’ll be warm, they said. The people who told me this sit on a throne of lies (lookin’ at you, Mom…).

Right now the key criteria to my 9-5 wardrobe is how many layers I can possibly squeeze into one outfit. I was flipping through my closet trying to find an outfit and I stumbled upon my spring blouses. Ohh, how I long for the days when we can get away with a trench or a light jacket. And wearing Jacks to work!!!

Ahhh the good ol’ days.

For Work: J.Crew Factory Printed Pleated Ruffle Camisole // J.Crew Factory Pencil Skirt in Double Serge Cotton // J.Crew Multistrand Pearl Necklace // BaubleBar Gold Tassel Bracelet // Old Navy Pointed Toe Flats // BaubleBar 360 Metallic Studs

For Brunch: J.Crew Factory Printed Pleated Ruffle Camisole // Old Navy Skinny Boyfriend Jeans // BaubleBar Crystal Flutter Collar // TOMS Whisper Burlap Suede Desert Wedges

Being on a rather tight budget, I try to limit myself to pieces that work double-time for 9-5 and the weekend. Once the weather warms up, which I pray to the snow gods is soon, I’ll be wearing this floral blouse until June. And sipping this tropical cocktail as fast as humanly possible. In case you wanted to know.

I always try to find pieces that can double for work and casual wear too. I’m loving this top and the way it looks with a navy skirt!

What a pretty top! I love pieces that can go from work-wear to weekend-wear without a hitch. Thanks for sharing!
