Best Shampoo & Conditioner For Dry Hair (Gamechanger for Me!)

Chatting today about the, I’m not exaggerating, BEST shampoo & conditioner for dry hair. This combo has been amazing for restoring my fine hair, especially during the winter.

Mane N Tail Shampoo Conditioner

For as long as I could remember, DC water and my hair had been in a fight. I would wash my hair only to find it dry and so tangled it would make Rapunzel grimace. I tried all the stops – a special filter for my apartment showerhead, countless sprays and different products.

Some of the products worked for a bit but even the most expensive products felt like a quick fix that wasn’t getting to the root (I promise that pun wasn’t intended) of the problem. My hair is color-treated and while my hair is fine, I have a lot of it. I knew it was the water specific to the area because when I would use these products on vacation, I would have no problem whatsoever.

Again, I promise the pun wasn’t intentional, but I was on the verge of ripping my hair out over this dilemma. My mom texted me one day that she read an article about Jennifer Aniston’s haircare routine and that I should look into it. Of course, Jennifer is famous for her locks (who among us didn’t rock the Rachel back in the day?!) and I was desperate so I decided to try this out.

I’m never going back.

The Best Shampoo & Conditioner For Dry Hair

Mane ‘N Tail Shampoo and Conditioner are available on Amazon ($21 for the combo) and at Target. Within a few washes, I could feel the difference they made for my hair.

My hair felt healthier, looked shinier, and I was able to say buh-bye to those nightmare-fuel tangles. When I went to get my hair colored and cut, my hair stylist asked me what I was using because he saw how much of an improvement it had made.

I was already a true believer of Mane ‘N Tail Shampoo and Conditioner and my feelings were even more heightened after last year. For those of you have been following along for awhile, I had some health issues come up and had to get an EEG done. In order to do this, a nurse had to glue electrodes all over my scalp and I had to wear them (with a very chic hairnet) for 72 hours. That meant no showers and certainly no hair washing. I had been warned the glue had a nasty tendency to get really stuck in your locks and to anticipate, once the test was over, having to wash multiple times to remove all of it.

One wash, and one wash only, later and my hair was back to being glue-free. I sincerely hope you never need an EEG test but if you or a loved one do, Mane ‘N Tail Shampoo and Conditioner is the way to go.

How I Use Mane ‘N Tail

I certainly use more than a dime-size amount for each, I would estimate probably about 2-3 squeezes per bottle. This could be personal preference but I end my shower using room temperature/cold water. This makes it easier for me to tell if the conditioner is truly out of my hair.

Mane ‘N Tail Shampoo and Conditioner are gamechangers for me and the health of my hair.
