Happy Monday, guys! I had a fantastic weekend – Reese Witherspoon’s book event was a blast, I had the best time. Seeing the bend and snap in person made my year 😂
After all the rain on Saturday, I took advantage of the sunshine yesterday and wore a blackwatch plaid cape that I picked up at Tuckernuck last year. I love my plaid cape scarf, it’s such an easy piece to layer on for extra warmth and instantly dresses up an outfit – like my navy dress.
I wore this plaid cape outfit to go to brunch at Requin down at the Wharf, if you haven’t been I’d recommend you check it out. Sidenote: I ordered the brioche french toast and holy cow, that french toast knocked my socks off. It was essentially a cake covered in blueberry compote with a heavy dollop of cream and one side of the brioche was covered in pistachios. Seriously the most intense french toast I’ve ever seen, it was amazing!
I’ll come clean and say I’m an outfit repeater. I’ve worn this outfit to work on a casual Friday and it’d be a really cute look to wear to Thanksgiving. Plus the loose fit of the cape is ideal for hiding Thanksgiving food babies. And you have a built-in blanket for when you crash on the couch after dinner to watch football. Win-win 😉
