2 Ways to Wear a Summer Shirtdress

Sharing two ways to wear a favorite summer shirtdress – Tuckernuck’s Hydrangea Hayes Shirtdress

Outfit #1: Hydrangea Hayes Shirtdress (This shirtdress runs TTS, if you have a fuller chest I’d size up because buttons ????) // Sweater (This is an old sweater but I found a nearly identical sweater + it’s on sale! ) // Kate Spade Surprise Maise Satchel // Sarah Flint Natalie Flats (Use my code SARAHFLINT-BALAURENR for $50 off) // Tortoiseshell Sunglasses (I love these $12 sunglasses, they’re flattering + great for tossing into your bag)

Outfit #2: Hydrangea Hayes Shirtdress // Raffia Earrings // Soludos Espadrilles // Draper James Backpack (old)

When it comes to shirtdresses, Tuckernuck has been my go-to spot. Their Royal shirtdress is perfect for hot, summer days + I love how you can style it for the weekend + for the office. I have the Royal shirtdress in white, it’s a classic staple piece in my closet. When I saw the hydrangea print on this shirtdress, I knew I had to get it.

The hydrangea Hayes dress is different from their Royal shirtdress in a couple of ways. The Hayes dress has cinching at the waist so it has more of a fit-and-flare silhouette versus a true shirtdress with a looser fit. And while the Royal shirtdress is made of cotton, the Hayes dress is polyester. The Hayes dress is still very comfortable for summertime + feels very light, which is essential with DC’s humidity!

I’m typically a size 8 in dresses + I’m wearing a small in the Hayes dress. If you have a fuller chest or broader shoulders, I’d recommend sizing up to avoid that irritating shirt gap (the worst).
