T minus 4 days until Christmas Eve and T Minus 3.5 days until I’m back in upstate New York. And tragically, there’s no sign of even one snowflake on Christmas Eve or Day. No matter how many times I hit refresh on Weather.com. I freely admit that I’ll take warm weather over cold any day of the week but it’s an unwritten rule that there has to be snow on Christmas. It’d just be wrong otherwise. White Christmas is more than just a song.
But because it’s Buffalo and I grew up in the Snow Belt of Buffalo (Let that sink in), it’s still going to be one chilly week at home. So bring on the layers and the wool socks!
Oh and bundling up in the form of eating comfort food like nobody’s business. Like the slow cooker eggnog French toast bake that’s coming your way tomorrow. Get excited! New Year’s Resolutions aren’t in effect just yet 😉
