{Winter Beauty Routine}

After a week in upstate New York with temperatures in the low 30s, the DC weekend weather felt glorious. However, we all know the mild temperatures aren’t going to last forever so I’m starting my winter beauty routine. I hate dry skin and am a huge advocate of moisturizers and lotions.

Sephora Instant Moisturizer: I’ve had a jar of this for a little over a year now and I love it. The {lotion has small crystals} that naturally slough dry skin from your face, I apply this moisturizer every morning before my makeup.

SoftLips: A favorite brand of mine for {lip balm} although Burt’s Bees is a close runner up!

Moisture Gloves: This was my favorite Christmas gift last year, no joke. I had terrible dry skin on my hands last year and you can imagine how much this drove me up a wall (read the first paragraph for clarification). My mother found these {gloves at Bed Bath & Beyond} and I swear by them!

Yes to Carrots: I’ve mentioned in a past post about {my love for Yes to Carrots}. One of the best lotions on the market in my opinion.

Tervis & Cocoa: It’s winter, you gotta fill up on cocoa as much as you can! Bonus: {Tervis acts as a hand warmer} as you sip your cocoa waiting for the morning bus.

What is on your winter beauty routine? Are you OCD about dry skin like me?

    I hate dry skin too! I really like adding jojoba oil to my moisturizers in the winter. It adds a ton of moisture, and it has antiseptic properties too, which help keep your skin clear. I’m obsessed with the First Aid Beauty lotion – it’s the only thing that manages to keep my face from feeling tight!
