With warm weather (hopefully) around the corner, I’m excited to bring back my favorite transition closet piece. Sharing how I style Dudley Stephens for spring!
Full disclosure: I’m wearing my green Dudley Stephens Park Slope as I type this. Dudley fleeces are well worth the hype + I view them as an investment piece that will last me years. Quality over quantity is my mindset as I pick out pieces to add to my (city) closet. My Dudley fleeces have lasted me for several years + are still in excellent condition. Plus, I love how versatile these fleeces can be. Here are two ways to style Dudley Stephens for spring!
White Jeans + Classic Ballet Flats
Right now, spring still hasn’t quite sprung + we’re still facing cooler temps at times. But it’s perfect for my terry fleece Dudley Stephens Park Slope! I love the Island Coral color, I think it’s just the prettiest shade and unlike most corals, it’s more on the pink side than the orange side. The terry fleece is lighter than their vello fleece, which is the traditional fleece that comes to mind when you think about fleece. Terry is a great transition piece for those early spring days.
While I usually wear my Park Slope Dudleys with the collar fully upright, sometimes I like to roll the collar back to create more of a boatneck shape. It gives the outfit a whole different look + makes me feel as if I’m getting two tops for one.
I’ve paired my coral Park Slope with my favorite white jeans. Talbots white jeans are the BEST, my pair holds up great after multiple washes, spills come out easily when pre-treated, + the best part: they are not see-through at all. They run TTS + are under $100!
When it comes to classic + chic ballet flats, Sarah Flint has the market cornered with their Natalie flats. I love the bow detailing, they’re an excellent pair of ballet flats to have ready to go for work or to feel instantly put-together for a weekend coffee date. If you’re new to Sarah Flint, you can use my code SARAHFLINT-BALAURENR for $50 off your purchase.
P.S. My wedding shoes are also from Sarah Flint! Peep them here.
Layered Over A Dress

I won’t gush about my shirtdress because that’s another post for another day. Layering my vello fleece Dudley Stephens over a dress is the easiest way to feel like you just bought a brand new outfit when actually you just shopped your closet. Adding a pair of white sneakers will keep this outfit casual but once the weather gets warmer, I’ll swap my sneakers for sandals.
