This week has heralded my “funemployment” status so I’ve been applying for jobs, cooking, going to the gym, reading and of course, basking in the sunshine! Summer is my very favorite season because I love love love warm weather.
Summer also means my favorite fruit are in season: watermelon and peaches. No joke, I think I ate about 10 peaches in the last 2 days. So when I saw this drink recipe, I made a mental note to make this cocktail. It sounds delicious and refreshing, a perfect drink for a summer get together!
Ingredients
2 medium sized, ripe peaches, peeled, halved and pitted
1/2 cup lemonade
1 ounce vodka of choice
Preparation
Puree the peaches and lemonade in a blender until smooth.
Pour vodka over ice in a rocks glass.
Top off with peach-lemonade puree.
Use a peach slice for garnish.
I would enjoy this drink sitting outside with a good book (or a group of friends!).
