Last weekend, I went to The Tombs with my roommate for a drink. I’ve loved The Tombs since my mother took me there on my very first trip to D.C. for my 8th grade graduation. It’s in a basement and covered with Georgetown crew memorabilia.
We sat at the bar and the bartender asked me what I’d like. After a moment of thought, I ordered a Dirty Shirley. My roommate has mentioned this drink, a childhood favorite with an adult kick, and I wanted to test it out.
It tasted exactly like a Shirley Temple and was sweet without being too sweet. I tasted just a hint of the vodka, which is fine with me because I don’t like when drinks taste super strong. All in all, I thought it was a good drink & I’d order it again.
Recipe:
1 oz vodka
5-6 oz. Sprite
1 dash of grenadine syrup
