The Perfect Rosé Spritz Recipe

I’m soaking up all that summer has left and when it comes to cocktails – that means a refreshing spritz cocktail. Without further ado, the perfect rosé spritz recipe.

Rosé Spritz Recipe - DC Girl in Pearls #rosé #rosecocktail #roséspritz #cocktails

Although I am a shameless all-year rosé girl, during those warm summer months a cool, crisp glass of dry rosé is just better. James and I love to take advantage of our building’s beautiful view of the Capitol and enjoy dinner, usually something from the grill but lately we’ve been on a charcuterie board kick, along with a cocktail. I’ve made mojitos since the mint on my balcony garden has been growing faster than I can harvest it. But my favorite cocktail to whip up and enjoy on those hot, muggy evenings when you need a refresh is the classic rosé spritz. My recipe adds in St. Germain for an elderflower essence and a squeeze of fresh lemon. It’s perfect to sip whether you’re lounging by the pool or admiring the beautiful cotton candy summer skies. Cheers!

The Perfect Rosé Spritz Recipe

  • Ice
  • Dry rosé wine
  • 1 shot St. Germain
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Soda/seltzer

1. Fill the wine glass with ice and pour the wine to just over halfway

2. Add the St. Germain and lemon juice

3. Fill to the top with soda or seltzer. I prefer using Trader Joe’s Lemon + Elderflower Soda, it complements the lemon and liqueur wonderfully

4. Swirl to combine and cheers!

My Favorite Wine Glass for Spritzes

James and I received these lovely wine glasses as wedding gifts. They’re fantastic for white wines but I now also reach for them when I’m making a spritz or a cocktail that doesn’t specifically need rocks or highball glasses. I can attest they’re break- and chip-resistant and are absolutely dishwasher safe. Since adding these to our stemware, I’ve ditched my stemless wine tumblers for cocktails and used this stemware exclusively for my spritzes.
