Stripes for Spring

Snow flurries or not, I’m officially ready to ditch the layers, swapping out the boots for Jacks and wool coat for a trench. Or better yet, no coat at all. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I spent the weekend doing some pre-spring cleaning, going through the closet to purge items I don’t wear anymore and trying my best to get everything back in order. Thanks, Life Changing Art of Tidying Up. Has anyone read that book? I skimmed it on a plane and jotted down general ideas, I feel a little silly about actually “thanking” my clothes before tossing them into the donation pile. Maybe after about 3 glasses of wine, I’d feel better about it.

Going through my closet, I realized I may or may not have a bit of an addiction to stripes 😳. But in my defense, stripes are just so simple to throw on with jeans and flats on the weekend or tucked into a pencil skirt with a blazer for the 9-5. I promise I’ll stop…after I buy that Land’s End ponte sheath and J.Crew Factory embellished dress. I also have an addiction to dresses 😁

Love this roundup! Stripes are my all-time fave 🙂
And I’ve been wanting to read that book- not sure how I feel about the more “spiritual” side of it (so I’ve heard) but I think it probably has some great tips!

To be honest, I skimmed the book. It did get a bit on the spiritual side so I gleaned the major points and went from there. I’d suggest getting this book at your library instead of buying it.
