Move over, handbags – rattan belts for summer are having their moment!
I’ve talked about my love for rattan handbags during the warm weather – they’re just such a good neutral piece and I love how they add texture to your outfits. When I was flipping through the J.McLaughlin catalogue, I stopped when I spotted their rattan belt (they also have a mini version). It immediately sent me into a tailspin of potential outfits and how it could zhush up my summer whites. I haven’t been this excited about an accessory in a long time! Added to cart immediately.
So you can imagine my dismay when I saw that this was a pre-order item and wouldn’t actually ship until early June. I still purchased it and I know I will be over-the-moon happy when a shipping notification pops up in my inbox!
In the meantime, I knew I needed to get my rattan belt fix. I popped over to Amazon to browse what they had. Of course, Amazon can be hit-or-miss in terms of quality. The rattan belt was perfect for accessorizing my dress. This shirt dress has a boxier structure to it so the belt provided a more fitted look. Not to mention it’s just such a fun addition! Be prepared to see more of this belt all summer long.
