My Plans for the Weekend Plans Vol. 2

DC Weekend Plans | @dcgirlinpearls

Happy Friday!! Phew we survived the week and now it’s time to kick back and unwind 🙌

I shared a post on what’s going on in DC this weekend you guys seemed to enjoy it so I’m back again! I’m thinking about turning this “Weekend Plans” into a newsletter so please let me know if that’s something you’d like to receive! Comment below or DM me (@dcgirlinpearls) or email lauren[at]dcgirlinpearls[dot]com.

Alright let’s get right into it, here are some fun weekend plans happening in the District:

Saturday

Who Wore It Better? Pies vs Pints

I’m not a beer drinker at all, give me a cider every time. Add in a pie that complements the cider?! That sounds like a great time to me. From 2-6p.m., you can sample pints of Supreme Core Cider paired with Dangerously Delicious Pies. If that’s not heaven, I don’t know what is! You can get tickets here.

Blue Bottle Opens in the Wharf

Everybody’s favorite coffee shop is opening up shop in the Wharf this Saturday and it’s celebrating with FREE coffee! From 9a.m. to 3p.m., Blue Bottle is hosting an open house with your caffeine on the house. All the proceeds will go to sponsor a project with charity:water. Reserve your spot here.

Oyster Fest at Brasserie Beck

I LOVE oysters, I cannot get enough of ’em. The brinier and saltier the better, in my humble opinion. To celebrate Belgian Independence Day, Brasserie Beck is hosting Oyster Fest. It’s bottomless oysters for $38 and bottomless mussels for $28. If you need me, you’ll know where to find me.

Sunday

Lotus + Lily Festival

One thing I love about DC is how many national parks there are in the city! You can’t go anywhere without discovering a national park. Do it on purpose and go to the Lotus + Lily Festival this weekend at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. It’s 10a.m. to 5p.m. and features these beautiful blossoms in full bloom! Talk about Instagrammable!

Oh hey!

If this sort of content is something you’d like to see on the reg, please let me know via email lauren[at]dcgirlinpearls[dot]com or comment below. I’m thinking about creating a newsletter with this type of post to send out once a week. Let me know!
