how to create a glam new year’s look

I never once thought I’d write a post on eye makeup. For years, I lived in fear of applying eyeshadow. I thought it looked beautiful on others but worried if I tried my hand at it, I’d end up looking like a clown.

I recently went to Sephora with my Too Faced Natural Eye Palette determined to crack the mystery. The lesson was filled with me asking “Wait, could you repeat that?” over and over again and typing notes furiously on my iPhone. However, I now feel comfortable and even, dare I say it?, confident when it comes to eyeshadow. I’ll let you in on the key to my newfound confidence: Sephora’s blending eyeshadow brush!

This brush will allow you to effortlessly blend the eyeshadow colors to create the perfect golden, glitzy look for New Year’s. Think of it as your magic eraser but instead of erasing mistakes, it enhances the colors by combining them. Simple? Yes. Revolutionary to me? You bet. How to Create a Glam New Year's Look

1. Cover your entire eyelid with Heaven. If you really want a very glittery look, be bold and go with Nude Beach

2.-3. Cover your eyelid with Push Up and Honey Pot. Blend!

4. Place a dot of Nude Beach in the inner corner of your eye.

5. Line your upper and lower lashes with Sexspresso. Again, if you want to up the ante, line your lashes with Erotica or Cocoa Puff. I’m still just getting my feet wet on this whole eyeshadow business and I’m not quite up to the level of confidence that Cocoa Puff demands. If you are, more power to you and please teach me your ways.

If you are looking for additional makeup brushes, head over to Target: I love this 10 piece set for just $30. Talk about a good deal and the smaller brushes are perfect for this application.
