Top: J.Crew Merino Wool Turtleneck (Sadly this merino wool turtleneck is sold out but Nordstrom has a $99 cashmere turtleneck sweater that looks incredibly cozy) // Pants: Suede Leggings (SALE ALERT! These suede leggings are out-of-this-world comfy and I’d wear them every day if I could. And they’re marked down now to $40! I’m wearing a size medium and they hit at my ankle. If you’re taller, I’d go with a large. It fits exactly the same in the waistband but has an extra few inches of length. Here’s how I styled my suede leggings two ways) // Scarf: Tuckernuck Scarf (Exact scarf is no longer available but here’s a cute scarf from the same brand and is under $50) // Shoes: Rothy’s Pointed Toe Flats (I’m always a size 8 in shoes but after reading Rothy’s reviews for pointed flats, I went with an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. They recommend sizing up a half size for the pointed flats)
In the last few months, it seemed like everyone had fallen hard for Rothy’s. I heard rave reviews about Rothy’s from a favorite podcast of mine (And That’s Why We Drink) and from friends at work. So I decided to give them a whirl for myself and long story short, Rothy’s 100% live up to the hype.
Here’s Why Rothy’s Are Worth the Hype:
Rothy’s are so comfy. Okay first things first, they are probably the comfiest flats I’ve ever put on. And right from the start, there’s no breaking in needed. You seriously feel like you are walking on air. Rothy’s are basically the shoe version of pajamas. All their shoes are made from knit fabric and are seamless (meaning no hard edges to give you blisters). Praise hands emoji, right?!
They are machine-washable. Yup, you heard that right. I wore them the other day on the Metro and another passenger stepped on my toe (It happens), leaving a big dirt mark on my new shoe 🤦♀️
I admit I was a little hesitant when I removed the insole and put my Rothy’s through the washing machine on machine wash cold and without bleach. Shoes that are comfy and can be thrown in the washing machine? Seems too good to be true, right?
Nope! They lived through the wash and maintained their hot pink color and shape.
They offer free shipping and returns. If you aren’t totally in love with your Rothy’s, they will offer returns on unworn shoes within 30 days of purchase. You also don’t pay for shipping when you purchase your Rothy’s.
And they’re good for the environment! Rothy’s knit uppers are made from 100% post-consumer plastic water bottles. They work to use recycled and renewable materials in both their shoes and packaging. To date, more than 24,500,000 water bottles have been repurposed thanks to Rothy’s!
Rothy’s Shoe Styles + Sizing
Pointed Toe Flats: I’m in love with their pointed toe flats! I feel like they make my foot look slimmer and the pointed toe looks more polished and professional than rounded toe. I’m already looking to add the navy + leopard to my collection! I’m always a size 8 in shoes but after reading Rothy’s pointed toe reviews, I decided to size up to 8.5. They fit perfectly!
Flats: Their flats are made with the same knit material and come with a rounded toe, which is cute. I have a wider foot (yay) so I steer away from rounded toes since they can be unflattering for me.
Loafers: I might have to add a pair of loafers to my Rothy’s collection, I feel like I could get away with them for the office. What do you think about this Charcoal Grid loafer? Or maybe even get a little adventurous with the camo loafer?
Sneakers: Rothy’s recently added a slip-on sneaker to their collection that look perfect for weekend errands.
How to Wash Your Rothy’s
Before you throw them in the washer, remove the insoles. Use a mild detergent without bleach and use a delicate setting. Air dry only!
Rothy’s Pricing
Rothy’s can be on the pricier side at about $125 to $145 a pair. That’s a bit steep but I promise they are well worth the price tag. I know I’ll be wearing them several times during the work week and then probably over the weekend as well since they’re so comfy!
Refer A Friend
Rothy’s don’t really go on sale (😢) but they do have a “Refer a Friend” program where you can offer a friend $20 off their first order and then you get $20 off your next order when they purchase.
