What to Buy During the Big J.Crew Factory Sale (And How to Style Them for Now + Spring!)

JCrew Factory Sale February 2019 | DC Girl in Pearls

Stripe Dress // Cape Scarf // Scalloped Cami // Chelsea Rain Boots // Long-Sleeve V-Neck Sweater // Tie-Waist Shirtdress // Scalloped Sidewalk Skirt // Cotton Blazer // Scalloped Winnie Pants // Pink Sheath Dress // Drapey Silk Top // Floral Shift Dress

Happy Monday!! Three day weekends are the best, aren’t they? I’m especially grateful to have the day off since I was under the weather on Friday + Saturday. My big plans for today are to get in a workout, tidy up my apartment, and shoot some blog content since I wasn’t exactly feeling camera-ready with the sniffles.

J.Crew Factory is one of my favorite shops for classics + wardrobe staples. And good news – they’re having a HUGE sale right now, everything is 60% off!! And better news – they have a lot of pieces that you can wear right now and later for springtime. Here are my top picks from the J.Crew Factory sale and how to style them:

Stripe Dress – $30

A stripe dress for $30 is a no-brainer for me. It’s cute on its own for spring and a fun piece to play with patterns – try layering a navy gingham shirt under a stripe dress. For chillier temps, you can turn the stripe dress into a skirt by layering your favorite winter sweater over it. And for spring, a stripe dress with classic ballet flats is an easy outfit for weekend errands or casual Friday at work. J.Crew Factory stripe dress runs TTS, I wear a size medium.

Cape Scarf – $20

I love a good cape scarf, they’re just so cozy! The blush ivory cape scarf is probably my favorite, you can wear it now with a crisp white button down and camel pencil skirt to work. And for spring, I’d reach for it on those days when it’s not warm enough to go without a jacket but you need something to keep you warm. The blush cape scarf would look so cute with white jeans and the blush Chelsea rain boots and a long sleeve tee.

Scalloped Cami – $21

Not exaggerating when I say I’d buy the scalloped cami in every color if I had the closet space. My current favorite work outfit is tucking the scalloped cami into a pencil skirt and throwing on a blazer (expect to see this in a future blog post!). Easy and looks polished! The scalloped cami is so versatile and also works as a going out top. Which is great because I’m at the age where I have more workwear than going out-wear, anyone else in that boat?? The scalloped cami looks great half tucked into jeans for a night out with the girls or date night.

Chelsea Rain Boots – $23

For $23, I’m seriously considering hitting purchase on the Chelsea rain boots. Maybe on both the dusty pink + hunter green! On rainy morning commutes, they’d be so much easier to pull off at my desk than tall wellies. And you know how rainy spring in DC gets! Remember if you wear Chelsea boots with pants or jeans, make sure they’re cropped so you can have a little gap between the pants and boots. That way your leg will look slimmer, trust me!

Long-Sleeve V-Neck Sweater – $20

Again, for $20, I’d stock up on these v-neck sweaters! Plus they come in so many great colors! I’d layer a button down under this sweater and jeans for now. When warmer temps hit, I’d wear it solo and with shorts or the scalloped sidewalk skirt (below) and white sneakers.

Tie-Waist Shirtdress – $35

This tie-waist shirtdress hits right above your knee and is perfect for work on its own or with a blazer. You could also remove the belt and then layer over a v-neck sweater for spring.

Scalloped Sidewalk Skirt – $25

I’ve been a fan of J.Crew Factory sidewalk skirts for years, they’re just so easy to throw on for the weekend and casual Fridays at work. And the scalloped detail on this skirt is just the icing on the cake. You can wear it now with boots and switch over to ballet flats or sneakers for the spring!

Cotton Blazer – $59

You really can’t go wrong with a classic cotton blazer! I love this cotton blazer with the scalloped Winnie pants for work for winter and let’s be honest, spring. You could also wear this blazer instead of a jacket for springtime.

Scalloped Winnie Pants – $28

Winnie pants are one of my favorite J.Crew Factory pieces, they’re incredibly comfy! I’d size down in Winnie pants, they stretch out after several wears and are perfect then. Do I really need to gush more about scallop detailing? Gets me and my wallet every time.

Pink Sheath Dress – $39

Sheath dresses are just so flattering, I’m pretty sure about 85% of my work dresses are sheath dresses. And yes, I 100% need to add a blush pink sheath dress to my collection. I love layering button downs under sheath dresses on days when I don’t feel like wearing a blazer or cardigan. You can do that now or later! And, of course, can’t go wrong with the power combo of a sheath dress and blazer.

Drapey Silk Top – $18

This drapey silk top just looks too comfy not to be included – and it’s under $20! While it’s still chilly, I’d wear it underneath a sweater to add a pop of pattern to your outfit for an easy weekend look. Once it warms up, I’d wear the drapey silk top with white jeans (or the scalloped pants!) and a blazer.

Floral Shift Dress – $35

When I said that 85% of my work dresses are sheath dresses…the remaining 15% are shift dresses. I know I sound like a broken record but I really do love layering white button downs under my work dresses. How fun would a popped collar be with this floral shift? And for spring weekends, I’d dress this floral shift dress down with a jean jacket + sneakers.

I hope this sales round-up was helpful! And don’t forget to check out J.Crew Factory’s Clearance – it’s an extra 50% off with code SAVEMORE!
