Wise Up to Wisey’s

Without a doubt, one of my favorite places to get a quick bite is Wisey’s in Georgetown. A small shop on Wisconsin Avenue, Wisey’s is easy to walk past if you didn’t know the address but woe to the person who does! They are missing out on the wonders of Wisey’s. And no, I’m not being dramatic!

Wisey’s (1440 Wisconsin Ave) is known for their wraps & my personal favorites are the Fajita Rapture Wrap & the Hoya Wrap. In case you haven’t caught on, I absolutely adore spicy food & the Rapture Wrap fills that craving with fajita veggies, lettuce, tomato on a sun dried tomato wrap, hot sauce is optional (but not for me!). On those rare occasions when I’m not in the mood for a tear jerking spice-fest, I order the much more subdued Hoya Wrap: smoked turkey with lettuce, tomato & honey mustard on a tomato basil wrap. Yum!! Their wraps cost $7.00-$7.50 but unless I’m particularly starving, I usually get 2 meals out of it.

My favorite part of Wisey’s, however, is their Oreo cookie. Some people may think of just a regular cookie but this is so much more than that. It’s crumbled up Oreo cookies baked into a sugar cookie. Cue an angelic choir. These cookies are absolutely delicious and for $0.85, they are worth cheating a little bit on your New Year’s Resolution! Seriously, people. It would be a sin to walk out of Wisey’s without one…or several.

Honestly, the only thing I don’t like at Wisey’s is their salads, which I haven’t found to be anything special. But the wraps, cookies & smoothies MORE than make up for the salads.

Have you been to Wisey’s? What’s your favorite item on their menu?

I LOVE Wisey’s. The chicken sandwich is amazing. Learned about it on a DC food tour!
