It is a truth universally acknowledged that a neighborhood eatery in possession of prosecco on tap must be in want of a group of girls. And those girls must be in want of a good gab session.
On Sunday, my Glover Park girls and I had a dinner at the newly opened Arcuri. A casual Italian-American joint, Arcuri was a hit with the 10″ pizza choices, variety of salads and of course, its wine selection.
We ordered the housemade limoncello, which was tart and refreshingly cool on a muggy summer evening.
I ordered the personal margherita pizza and I would be lying if I said I didn’t finish the whole thing. I am a girl with a healthy appetite!
The best way to beat the summer heat is with a root beer float. Remember how floats are my favorite summer sweet? Over the weekend, my sweet tooth coupled with the bright sun led me to pick up some root beer and ice cream. An old fashioned striped straw was the finishing touch on my afternoon dessert.
