Dunn uh…Dunn uh….DUNNN DUNNN DUNNN!!
It’s (almost) Shark Week, folks! And if I have to guess that you and your friends are anything like mine, your Facebook feeds and day planners are filling up to the brim with watch parties. If you’re stumped on cocktail ideas, boy have you come to the right place. I have not just one but four cocktail recipes to fit your Jaws-theme party and a couple of ideas to elevate your entertaining. Ready? Let’s get to it!
Ingredients:
1 ½ parts Skinnygirl® Meyer Lemon Vodka
2 parts strawberry lemonade
Muddled blueberries, raspberries and strawberries (only strawberries pictured)
Splash of sparkling water
Directions:
Mix vodka and muddled strawberries in a glass.
Top off with a splash of sparking water and add ice if desired.
Hostess Note: I sliced the top off the strawberry and made a semi-deep slit down the center to garnish on the rim of the glass (as pictured below). I did this to make the strawberry slice look like a shark fin poking out of the water. I felt very clever doing this so please indulge me!
Another Hostess Note: Place bowls of Swedish fish candy and/or bowls of Goldfish crackers to set the theme in place. If you are a hostess-with-the-mostest, visit Trader Joe’s frozen seafood section. Between the shrimp nuggets, steamer clams and frozen seafood blend, you have all the fixings for a fishy feast (just like your shark buddies!).
