Naturally, my mother and I will be trying out various holiday cocktails to accompany our feast. The first recipe I’m going to try is mulled wine. I’ve had it once but never concocted it. I’ll keep you posted on that endeavor…

If you follow me on {Pinterest}, you’ll know I am incredibly excited about my crock pot and {have been pinning recipes like crazy}. Well, did you also know you can create mulled wine in a crock pot?! Crock pots do casseroles AND cocktails?! Be still my heart!

Ingredients: 

1 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon

1 peeled and sliced orange

1/4 cup of brandy

8-10 cloves

1/3 cup honey or sugar

3 cinnamon sticks

2 tsp ground ginger

Preparation: 

Combine all ingredients in a large pot or a slow cooker.

Place on low to medium heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
