When Red Envelope emailed me last month to chat about my favorite summertime cocktail, I knew I had to go with the delicious, nautical-theme cocktail that inspired its very own Lilly print. I’m talking, of course, about the Dark ‘n Stormy. But in true DC Girl in Pearls style, I wanted to give this classic a little twist. The Dark ‘n Stormy is practically perfect in every way thanks to Goslings but following the voice of my inner child, ice cream makes everything taste better in the summer. Yes or yes?
So without further ado, I present to you, the Dark ‘n Stormy Ice Cream Float.
On an unrelated note, if you find a Dark ‘n Stormy shift in size 8, I’m your girl!
I used vanilla ice cream for this float but I think coconut flavor would pair very nicely with the rum!
