My inner twelve-year-old has a love affair with grenadine. Shirley Temples have a special place in my heart and I am not above ordering a dirty Shirley in public. Over the weekend, I was in the midst of blogging, drafting posts and brainstorming. Plowing through several weeks of content can really work up a thirst. I looked at my bar cart and immediately, my eyes landed on the grenadine and rum.
The grenadine adds whimsy and the rum in this cocktail was a welcome change from the usual vodka in a Cosmo.
Ingredients
1 part, Bacardi rum
1/2 tbsp, sugar
3-4 dashes, grenadine
1 part ice
Don’t have a fancy cocktail shaker? No problem! I used my milkshake glass and a regular drinking glass to create a seal. Just find a big glass and another glass that is smaller in circumference.
