summer in bloom

To me, flowers are a necessary luxury. I love having flowers on my dresser and dining table. Waking up to a bright bunch of daisies or coming home to an apartment bursting with the aroma of hyacinth, to me, is worth the “splurge.” I cut back the frequency of my Starbucks trips and rewarded myself with a cheerful bouquet. It’s the little things in life. The wildflowers are actually from Dolcezza, an artisanal gelato shop in DC. I had a lovely Saturday afternoon with a small bowl of peaches ‘n cream gelato and a new book.
