St. Patrick’s Day Moscow Mule

If you’re like me and don’t drink beer, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at a bar can be kinda tricky. The green beer and Guinness is flowing but the cocktails? Not so much. You want to feel in the spirit of the holiday, especially if you grew up in an area that pretty much lives for this day, but your stomach churns at the idea of beer and stout. The good news is I have a cocktail that’s so festive for St. Patrick’s Day, green beer’s gonna be green with envy. Sorry, I had to. You understand. Moving on.

Moscow Mule copper mugs are already festive by themselves but for St. Patrick’s Day, they seem especially appropriate. If a mug that could easily pass for a leprechaun’s pot o’ gold with a cheery sprig of mint sticking out doesn’t say “Erin Go Bragh,” I really don’t know what does. Except maybe a Shamrock Shake. Fight it, Lauren. You have been in a swimsuit next week.

This St. Patrick’s Day Moscow Mule starts with vodka, goes into IZZE Sparkling Apple and ends with a whiskey floater. But it’s St. Patrick’s Day and you gotta go big, am I right? So put on your green and make yourself a crisp St. Patrick’s Day Moscow Mule.
