spring in your step green

I’m leaping for joy currently because DC’s weekly forecast shows we’ll be in the low 60s at the end of this week!!!! Granted, there’s about a 120% chance of rain during this heat wave but after Polar Vortex Part I + II, anything above freezing is fair game for celebration.

I know, I know it’s too early to transition my winter wardrobe for spring but frankly, I am so over layering and I’d give anything to trade in my riding boots for sandals. While it’s too soon for pastels, dark green is a terrific compromise spring shade. Green is the official color of spring but the mossy hue bridges the still-snowy weather.

LL Bean’s leather handle tote is at the top of my wish list for spring. I’ve used their totes throughout high school and college and currently are my #1 carry on travel tote. I love the leather handle because it elevates the tote, it’d be a wonderful carry-all tote for weekend brunches and adventures.

Currently, my wellies are hot pink but if I had to choose a second color, this dark green would be it because it reminds me of gardening. Pink is fun but this green has some major staying power!
