With our first teaser of spring, I’m hooked. The sunshine, the warm weather, I gotta have more!! Warm weather and sunshine lead to rooftop happy hours, which leads to sangria which leads to making al fresco brunch plans.
I nearly fell off my desk chair typing that sentence out of pure, unadulterated JOY!!!!
Okay so I might be a tad punch drunk from a 10 day forecast with temps well above freezing.
And slightly delirious from losing an hour of precious, precious sleep.
But that’s totally okay because over the weekend, I picked up the most gorgeous hyacinth from Trader Joe’s (pictured above) and they smell OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seriously, I’ve been inhaling deeply every chance I get.
…This could be a cause of the spring fever insanity.
I love this quote from Robin Williams (RIP) because it perfectly sums up my feelings about spring. We talked yesterday about my lack of winter skillz aside from hibernation. Spring is my time to refresh and hit the ground running.
Time to catch up with friends, explore new parts of DC, open the windows for a fresh breeze, and in general enjoy no longer being a human popsicle.
I’m also ready to hit the ground running here on DC Girl. I took your survey responses to heart and have been working to keep up with solid content for you! Thankfully, I’ve been an Idea Machine lately so my Google docs are pretty happy. I have a few projects I’m working on that I can’t wait to share with you this spring! Fingers crossed in time for DC Girl‘s 4th birthday in May!! How crazy is that?!
