Starting today, James and I both have our out of offices up and we are on our way to our honeymoon! I know, I know, it’s nearly been a year since our wedding.
But with my old job coming to an end shortly after our big day, we decided to defer on our honeymoon. I knew I couldn’t truly unwind and relax on our trip with the uncertainty of my next job weighing on me.
After months of planning, we are so excited to finally be on our way! James has been an incredible planner and his attention to detail just boggles my mind.
This is our first ever trip together that isn’t about visiting our families or heading a wedding. It’s also our first trip where neither of us is bringing our work phones. This has certainly made for really hectic last few weeks as we’ve both been working like crazy to make sure we left our teams and tasks in a good place before we go wheels up. I’m also not bringing my laptop so we can truly unplug.
