I couldn’t believe the pictures I saw on Instagram of the Nor’easter that hit New Jersey and New York yesterday. There’s no denying it…winter this year is going to be a rough one. Time to bundle up!
My favorite winter coat is a navy peacoat (pictured center) from J.Crew. I’ve had it for 2+ years and it still looks brand new! I have re-sewn the buttons over the years but other than that, this jacket is low maintenance. The peacoat is a classic wardrobe staple, a must for every closet. While I love my North Face, I reach for my peacoat when I need a touch of sophistication in an outfit even if I’m just wearing jeans and wellies!

To speak to the timelessness of the pea coat, I have one that my mother got in college. I have worn it in high school, college, medical school, residency, and it still looks GREAT! It is one if my favorite go-tos.
I have a light pink peacoat (from VS actually, go figure) that I’m obsessed with, and I’m debating getting a navy one now … love the J. Crew pick!
