The National Cherry Blossom Festival is always a fun time of the year for D.C. but this year it’s even bigger. 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the U.S. receiving the gift of the cherry blossom trees from Japan. The celebration is marked with a Japanese street festival, a jazz performance and of course, the festival’s signature Pink Tie Party.
Being a D.C. girl, I wanted to mark the 100th anniversary, too. That’s when I enlisted The Gameday Girls‘ help. I ordered a customized set of pearl studs with a cherry blossom design.
They turned out as amazing as I could have hoped for and I will be wearing them proudly this spring and beyond. They are truly pearls for a D.C. girl!
I tried to snag a picture as close to my ear as possible, this is what happened:
I’m so excited for the Cherry Blossom Festival this year! What do you think of the pearls?
What was the cost? Can you ask for a link from your BLOG?
I love Cherry Blossom time 🙂 It’s so pretty around here. Even with all the tourists.
