Sharing my favorite packable sunhat – because I’m hoping the more I write about warm weather, the sooner warm weather will arrive.

I am completely done with winter. My commutes into work this week have been brutal with the wind chill, I feel like I’m getting pushed by the wind to the office instead of actually walking. In about a week though, I’m heading to Arizona to see my family and I am very much looking forward to the sunshine. I definitely notice an uptick in my day-to-day happiness when the sun is shining and the weather is warm.
Yesterday morning, as I battled the wind tunnel that is my commute, I mentally started a packing list for my Arizona trip. While I love the sunshine, I am very cognizant of not getting too much sun on face and am a devoted daily sunscreen wearer. I’ve become more of a hat wearer in recent years. Baseball hats are my go-to for casual errands (and not great hair days) but sometimes an outfit calls for a sunhat.
I added the packable wide bow sunhat from Tuckernuck to my collection a couple of years ago and I’m so happy I did. First off, it definitely lives up to its name – this packable sunhat keeps its shape wonderfully in suitcases (aka my Vera Bradley duffel carryon that I swear by).
Simply place it in the center of your suitcase, with the inside of the hat facing up, when you are packing and add your rolled clothes around the hat and inside the hat for extra security and support. This sunhat takes up minimal space and I’m always glad to have it on hand. It looks super cute by the pool or on the beach with your swimsuit. I also like wearing it with a dress (like my favorite shirtdress above) when I’m out during a summer day or with white jeans and a cute linen shirt. The wide bow gives it an instantly feminine vibe and I feel more put together when I wear it. It comes in only 1 size but there is a tie inside the hat to adjust the fit.
