Madewell Striped Knit Dress // L.L. Bean Boat and Tote (Large) // Jacks // Aviators // Turkish Towel

I’m getting some serious mileage out of my Madewell Striped Dress. From an easy brunch look to an impromptu beach cover-up, this dress does it all! On my Instagram, I use the hashtag #realoutfitgram a fair amount but let me tell you this is probably the most real outfit post in awhile. I’m wearing zero makeup, covered in sunscreen and my tangled beach hair is pulled back in a braid. After a day soaking up the sun on Assateague Island beach (right next to Chincoteague Island), my mom and I headed back to the car to pack up and head back to Chincoteague for dinner and a night cap at the hotel. I tossed on this striped dress over my swimsuit, slipped back into my trusty Jacks, threw my beachy hair in a braid and was ready to grab dinner! Before we drove to Chincoteague, I checked to see if my man Guy Fieri had visited any local spots on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (The Greatest Show Ever). On his advice, we headed to Woody’s Beach BBQ that night and guys, the Big Hot Woody sandwich did not disappoint. Of course, I had to choose the sandwich on the menu that’s covered in hot sauce and jalapeños. And get an order of handcut French fries. I mean…it was vacation.
