I remember growing up when Halloween was always a big deal. There’d be a big school party—and later a dance in middle school—and classroom parties during the day where our teachers brought in donuts, apple cider and candy. And of course, trick-or-treating as a main event.
With Halloween on a Tuesday (ugh school nights), Halloween is going to be pretty low-key this year. But in case you are looking to get into the spirit of Halloween, here are three simple ways to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve:
Decorate with a Candy-Scape
I know candy corn is a divisive Halloween candy but I love it. You can pick up a few bags of candy and spread them out across your table to create a fun and easy candy-scape.
Serve A Festive Libation
IZZE is perfect to have on hand at a party because it tastes delicious but also makes a perfect mixer. For my “spooky libation,” I created a candy corn inspired drink simply by adding a splash of grenadine to the bottom of a martini class, pouring in IZZE Clementine (You can also use Blackberry!) and topping with whipped cream. If you want, you could also add 1 shot of vodka.
Create A Spooky Vibe
Part of the fun of Halloween is getting a good scare in, right? I’ve never been a fan of slasher movies or really anything with gore BUT I do happen to love ghost stories, urban legends, and haunted history. I shared several of my favorite ghost story podcasts the other week and in another post you can find some of my favorite scary movies to play in the background.
