Growing up, I spent a considerable amount of time during the summer at my grandparents’ lake house. I was practically a fish as a child and spent most of my summer underwater. After dinner, my grandparents, aunts and parents would walk with me to the marina to look at the sailboats and get an ice cream cone. I loved watching the sun set over the lake: these are the summer memories I love the most.
Yesterday, I spent the afternoon at my grandparents’ house and insisted we take a twirl around the marina before we headed home (luckily I was driving so my mother had to agree). I had a rush of memories and inspired this nautical post with a little help from the usual suspects 🙂
