First of all, I apologize for being M.I.A. this week and not posting daily. I have had the craziest two weeks and was too mentally drained to blog, I know it’s a poor excuse but now I’m back!
It’s currently 100 degrees outside here in D.C. but it feels like 116 degrees. Yikes! So while others stayed inside in the air conditioning, I ventured outside in pursuit of a food truck. I felt that since I haven’t posted since Tuesday, I owed it to you. Now that’s love.
I decided to try out Sol Mexican Grill food truck. They offer burritos, bowls and 3 soft tacos all for $7. Think of Chipotle but with wheels!
I opted for the veggie soft tacos and they loaded up my tacos with rice, black beans, pico de gallo, red salsa, guacamole (free if you order veggie!) and lettuce. At first, I thought about asking for extra salsa but after I took my first bite, I wasn’t glad I didn’t: the red salsa was pretty hot!
I’d give this food truck a good report: they were efficient, not overly priced and tasted yummy. I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for Mexican food and for those on a budget, it’s less expensive than Chipotle!
