Today, on my lunch break I went to Dupont Threading at 1314 18th Street NW to get my eyebrows done. I’ve been going there to get my eyebrows done for about 2 years now and absolutely love it.
I used to get my eyebrows waxed but my skin on my face became very sensitive after battling puberty & pimples. Waxing my eyebrows was no longer an option, it was just too damaging to my skin. At first, I thought, “Oh great, I’m going to have to tweeze every hair for the rest of my life.”
Luckily, one of my friends told me about threading and she thought there was a place in Dupont. A quick Google search led me to Dupont Threading and I haven’t looked back since.
When you get your eyebrows threaded, the women take thread from a spool and hold it so the thread is taut and use it to remove the unwanted hair. The women there work very quickly, I’m in and out in 10 minutes usually. Of course, on weekends, Dupont Threading tends to be a little busier.
Dupont Threading is located in the basement of a rowhouse and can be easily passed by so be sure to look for the yellow sign!
