{Food Truck Friday} BBQ Bus

For those of you who got an email notification about this post yesterday at around 7:30p.m., I have no idea why WordPress decided to publish my post on its own. Anyway, as I was saying…

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day in the District! The old adage of “March, in like a lion, out like a lamb” didn’t ring true for March1 in D.C. March seemed more like a lion cub than a lion and as someone who isn’t a fan of cold weather, I wasn’t complaining! The weather really made me feel spring is just around the corner. It was the perfect day to go to the food trucks and it seemed like everyone had the same idea! Farragut Square was standing room only.

I decided to try out “BBQ Bus” and boy, I’m glad I did because I got a great deal!

I ordered a Chicken Jalapeno sandwich ($8.50) and for my side, I chose fire-roasted corn. Then, I spied a small sign that said $2 off chili when you order it with a sandwich or plate. Done. I added a vegetarian chili to my meal for $2, what a steal!

Chili

The vegetarian chili wasn’t as hearty as some other veggie chilis but it had a real kick to it so I was happy with that trade off! I actually ate this for lunch & was so full, I ended up saving my sandwich for dinner.

I liked the spicy chicken jalapeno sandwich but it could’ve used some more jalapenos in my humble opinion!

What are you most excited about for spring? The weather? The wardrobe? Both?!
