I’m in deep denial it’s Monday. I spent the weekend celebrating one of my best friends’ wedding in Park City, Utah and it was nonstop bubbly, laughter, friend reunions and some pretty spectacular views. I swear, those mountains were so majestic they almost seemed surreal, I couldn’t believe they were actually there right in front of me. From the rehearsal dinner at a brewery to the gorgeous outdoor wedding where I did my best not to bawl my eyes out (did that MULTIPLE times over the weekend) to hitting the dance floor, I had the best weekend and am not emotionally prepared for my alarm clock to go off. Especially with the time change and Daylight Savings 😴
March’s theme seems to be West Coast travel: I just came back from Utah and now in about a week and a half, I’ll be boarding a plane to spend Easter with my family in Phoenix. I’m hoping that DC doesn’t skip past its spring weather while I’m gone and go straight to 80s with 100% humidity because DC spring might be my favorite time of the year. Between the cherry blossoms blooming and the Goldilocks weather (not too hot, not too cold, just right) days, I love walking around DC and taking in all the sunshine after a cold winter. And trying not to wear a coat unless absolutely necessary. So I came up with a compromise: my chambray shirt as a jacket. My chambray shirt is already a wardrobe staple, now I can get it to work double-time!
Speaking of working double-time, I foresee a venti iced chai in my Monday morning future…
