Let’s catch up on everything that’s been happening this month – and a tease of what’s to come on my site.
Hi there! It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve posted here. February certainly got away from me and I’m glad to be back.
I flew out to Arizona over President’s Day weekend to see my parents and Tommy. This past Christmas was the first holiday not spent with Tommy and it was really hard on him to say the least. For those who might not know, Tommy is my younger brother and he has a rare development disability so it’s more challenging to explain situations (like why I’m spending Christmas with James’ family) to him. Over our long weekend, we got to spend quality time together and do his favorite activities – bowling, lunch at Culver’s, read books. I’m really glad I was able to make it work with my new job and actually worked from Arizona for one of the days.
Unfortunately, I returned with a terrible cold and all week just felt downright miserable. My sinuses utterly betrayed me. It’s only now (as I’m writing this yesterday, on Sunday) that I feel like I’ve turned a corner and am getting back to being at 100%.
Between traveling and being under the weather, I haven’t been able to post here as regularly as I had been. But I’m back in the groove now! It felt so good yesterday to be able to do a Pilates flow (helped by feeling cute in my leopard matching set – leggings and midi sports bra tank top) and it feels SO good to be back writing here again right now.
While I haven’t been able to actively post on my blog, I have spent quite a lot of time over the last few weeks and months thinking about it and working on the back end of my site.
I’ve had my blog since May 2011 when I was finishing up my junior year of college – practically a lifetime ago. It’s gone through some facelifts over the years and it’s been awhile since the last one. I’m excited to say the next refresh is going to come soon along with some other big changes. This has been on my mind for the last couple of years but with our wedding, my health issues, and starting a new chapter in my career, it became the back burner on my list.
Many of you have been along for the ride for several years ago, even from the very beginning. I’m so happy and honored you choose to spend your time on the internet with me. This refresh will bring the site more in alignment with where I am in my life. Which, incidentally, is where most of you seem to be as well ????
