Blogger Blitz Giddy

I am the happiest girl in the world right now because I am officially d-o-n-e with my exams & papers. Officially, I am now on winter break, I can hear the hallelujah chorus already. Last night, I was soo tired that I couldn’t do a post about Blogger Blitz justice but now, as a free woman, I can.

I had an absolutely phenomenal time at Blogger Blitz, hosted by the lovely {AV} of Long Distance Loving fame, on Sunday evening. We were at Urbana on P Street in Dupont, which I have never been to before, and it was a great location for the event. There were booths but we were all mixing and mingling so no one really sat down much. I was too busy chatting that I didn’t eat although I did spot some yummy looking calamari.

I loved being able to put faces to blogs and getting to chat with other D.C. women bloggers!! My blog is still a baby (I’ve only been posting since May) but it’s become my therapy and I can’t imagine how I survived without it. Okay, that’s last part was a tad dramatic but let’s just chalk it up to post-finals delirium.

I met some absolutely lovely lady bloggers on Sunday and it was funny how similar yet unique we all were! I guess as {AV} said, it takes a certain type of person to put themselves out there on a blog and I felt all the ladies were like peas in a pod.

 {AV} made us all name tags, which I loved because I adore all things glittery and sparkly, plus a blog directory with the names, photos, blog URLs and Twitter handles of the ladies at the event so we could all easily catch up with one another after the event. I had never been to a blogger event previously but I had the best time! I spoke with some of the other girls towards the end of the event about having monthly meet ups. D.C. Blogger Brunches, anyone?
