Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week?? I’ll be heading out to Arizona a week from Wednesday for my family’s first desert holiday. I was having mixed feelings about not spending Thanksgiving in our family home in New York but I have to say, the 80+ degree weather report is helping. So is the plan my mom and I have to make cranberry prosecco spritz for Thanksgiving Day. Will keep you posted on the spritz’s success.
I’ll be trading in my usual Thanksgiving sweaters + riding boots for breezy dresses + sandals but I wanted to let you all know that L.L. Bean is having a HUGE sale right now!! Everything sitewide is 25% off with code “25OFF”. Yup, even their iconic Bean boots (Sizing guide here). L.L. Bean puts their Bean boots on sale just a few times a year so jump on it – my trusty 8 inch boots are now under $100!
The L.L. Bean sale includes all sale items, too so be sure to check them out. But here are my all-time favorites from the L.L. Bean sale:
Quilted Riding Jacket
L.L. Bean’s quilted riding jacket has been my tried + true winter jacket for years now. It’s survived western New York blizzards and kept me warm – I think that’s probably the biggest endorsement I can give a jacket.
Sweater Fleece Pullover
Since DC’s decided to just skip fall and go straight from summer to winter I’ve been living in my sweater fleece pullover when I’m in my apartment, heading to barre class or running errands this weekend. It’s incredibly soft and it’ll be very difficult to part with when you have to put on real clothes to go out and be social. Speaking from experience here. I also am a huge fan of its kangaroo pouch with even softer fleece (if that’s possible). Though I did ransack my apartment trying to find my phone when it turned out to be in that kangaroo pouch the whole time. I have the sweater fleece pullover in sailcloth and went with the medium so I have room for layering.
Fisherman Sweater
Fisherman sweaters are a staple of my winter wardrobe. They’re just so easy to pull on with leggings or dress up with a plaid skirt and statement necklace for a holiday party. L.L. Bean’s fisherman sweater is my favorite, it’s thick but breathable and I wear it every chance I get.
Bean Boots + Camp Socks
If you haven’t already invested in a pair of Bean boots, this sale is when you do! My 8 inch regular Bean boots are under $100 until tomorrow so get a jump on it! If you’re unsure about sizing, I have a guide to buying Bean boots you should look over before hitting purchase. While you’re at it, you should also add a pair of camp socks to your shopping bag. Trust me. These socks will keep your feet warm and at $20 for 2 pair are an incredible deal. I don’t have Thinsulate on my Bean boots but with L.L. Bean’s camp socks, I don’t need them. I’ll even reach for my camp socks on chilly mornings when I’m just hanging out in my apartment.
Boat and Tote Canvas Bag
In high school and college, I used L.L. Bean’s boat and tote canvas bag to carry around my heavy textbooks and laptop. While I’m no longer in school, I still use my canvas tote for groceries, camera equipment and whenever I travel. This tote will weather all storms and last you forever – mine’s still going strong after more than a decade! GASP.

I could really use a new winter sweater! They aren’t really a staple in Florida, but a few days out of the year it will get cold enough to wear them 🙂
I LOVE their fisherman sweater, it’s great for even hanging around my apartment with PJ pants 🙂 I’ve got my eye on their fisherman tunic, I feel like the longer length makes it look more casual: http://bit.ly/2zVNBaL
