Holiday Cocktail Party Outfit

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And also the busiest. I flew back to DC on Friday and spent the weekend getting back into my routine. Thank you, Past Me, for deep-cleaning the apartment before leaving for Thanksgiving. Groceries acquired, laundry complete, meals prepped and work week outfits planned. Phew! I did squeeze in some weekend fun with an ugly sweater party and watching a live taping of Meet The Press (#nerdsohard). I even managed to get to Pure Barre and guys, I can still barely move. Everything hurts but I did feel like a warrior princess when I managed to hold a plank for 90 seconds. It’s the little victories.

I’m excited to get back to work, definitely feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle my to-do list after a week away. It also helps to have a couple of holiday cocktail parties on my calendar!!

I love a good cocktail as you know and it seems like Christmastime is a perfect excuse to add some festive cheer…in the form of a martini glass. This red dress is my go-to holiday cocktail party outfit, it’s from last season LOFT but this J.Crew Factory dress is nearly identical! DC weather has been non-winterlike at all so far so I decided to take advantage and go out without tights on! Wild times, guys. I love these ankle strap heels but rarely reach for them. They’re just the right amount of fun and classic, my sweet spot. These ankle strap heels are made for holiday cocktail party attending and that’s just what they’ll do this season.
