We’re halfway to the weekend! I’ve been trying to add more work wear style posts because honestly, I’m not really seeing any blogs that post work wear that I could actually wear to my 9-5. DC tends to be more conservative when it comes to office dress code so it’s a balancing act to create an outfit that’s both professional and non-stuffy. I like to think of my work wear style as “colorfully conservative” so Monday through Thursday, you can find me in bright blazers and dresses paired with printed pencil skirts. On Casual Friday, I get to play around a bit more and push the boundaries a bit.

I styled this chambray shirt for the weekend thanks to my collaboration with Potomac Mills Mall but wanted to show you how I’d wear this shirt for a comfy Friday look. Okay, there’s that whole rule about not wearing white before Memorial Day but this pencil skirt is just too easy to throw on and wind up looking put together. Even if you overslept. Take a step on the wild side with open-toed wedges 🙉 and add a cognac leather belt to balance it all out. Friday Post-Work Happy Hour, I’m comin’ for ya 👊
