With DC’s heat wave at an all time high, I knew there was only one wardrobe option for my walk to Eastern Market: my J.Crew linen summer shirt. Because it’s a universal law of physics that the minute you begin to sweat profusely glisten, you will run into someone you want to look fabulous in front of. Whether that be a work acquaintance or your mid-afternoon coffee run crush. As soon as you feel those beads of sweat sparkle form, it. is. on. Be prepared to run into the man of your dreams. Fate is a real b*tch.

Thankfully with my breezy linen shirt I knotted at the bottom, I was glisten-free. Of course, this also means I was man-of-my-dreams free, too. But my strawberry lemonade stepped up to be my farmer’s market date. My other favorite part of this outfit are the Kendra Scott earrings. It’s been awhile (read: over a year) since I wore dangly earrings but with their vibrant purple color, I just had to break the stud streak. They were a perfect pop of color against the crisp white linen so expect to see these babies come out to play more often.
